Its smarter to trust God, don't you think? I mean its clear that many details are not included. And if God is not good, then why is there so much good in the world? God provided for us many good things that we need to live.

MC Hammer - When you have your science down perfect, then you can throw stones. Its no surprise that they were well behind us. And I understand that with you those things are impossible. Not with God.

"Its smarter to trust God, don't you think?"
I don't know. Is it smart to trust in other beings with no proof? Trust in Santa and the Tooth fairy?

"I mean its clear that many details are not included."
True. This could be why so many people have a hard time believing that Christianity is the 'one true way'.

"And if God is not good, then why is there so much good in the world?"
If God is good and so powerful, why is there so much bad in the world? Why do innocent people suffer and why do children go to bed hungry?

"God provided for us many good things that we need to live."
Where is the proof that God did this? The bible that was written by men?

EDIT: "Miss Bliss - If its reasonable to believe in a Creator, why do you have a problem believing the commandments and the teachings about love and what not, are of him?"

Let's say there is a creator. Why should I believe in a man written bible and not, say, Odin? It's silly to say that if there is a creator, it must be the Christian one.

Oh, and *you* have the facts? According to the bile - oops, bible - the sun goes around the Earth, the Earth is flat, Pi is 3 and not 3.141529..., a boat 600 feet long is allegedly capable of holding and feeding two of every species of animal, says bats are birds, says rabbits chew their cud, says the jews were in Egypt, and, most erroneous, that's its central character "jeebus" lived in Nazareth which has been proven NOT TO EXIST until the third century CE (it is less than 1800 years old).

Make believe stories aren't made to be believed for real. Adults are supposed to grow out of their childhood fantasies, but it appears you never did.

There is a lot of good in the world, but there is also a lot of bad in the world. Look back at the majority of the major wars fought throughout history, and you will see that religion, the same thing that is supposed to make everyone love one another, is to blame for these wars. Either fought because of religious differences, or because of one individuals belief that he felt needed to be inflicted on the world.

"And if God is not good, then why is there so much good in the world?"

That has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. Have you paid any attention to the world around you. If God is good why is there so much bad in the world? Why are there terrorist wanting to kill us? Why do little kids get terminal diseases? Why does cancer and AIDS exist? There are so many things in this world that aren't 'good' at all.

How can they judge what doesn't exist. Many atheists are so because they have read the Bible and noticed how inconsistent it is. It is illogical to believe that it is the inerrant word of God when it contradicts itself and says many things that are undeniable errors. One small example is that it says bats are birds.

If God is good why is there so much evil in this world. Please do not say it is our own fault as the Bible says clearly that we were created in His image. As a matter of fact atheists do not judge god - after all we do not believe in his existence.

We are entitled to judge God. We can even argue with God. Just look at Tevje the milkman (from Shalom Aleichhem). We can criticize him and judge him and judge his action and his non-actions as we have a covenant with God.

I couldn't care less about your sophistry and rhetoric- belief in Christianity is not credible from an intellectual viewpoint which is why it has no place in modern western society.
