I wouldn't call it a fight I would call it a debate... because everyone has their own opinion and beliefs and when someone asks a question to do with religion and politics wham every ones opinion rushes in and people get offended and people want to get a word in.
Piece of advice don't say a single word unless you know what your gonna say. If you feel the need to make a comment be cautious. Because true we are entitled to our opinions and beliefs but some people may take it the wrong way.

I never could understand that either when the Bible says in:
JAMES 3:2 = "For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body."
I don't really know why people fight; aren't we supposed to be corrected if we're doing wrong or is it that people don't want to be corrected? I have been corrected more than once(a few times) by (PROV.3:12)God as other people. It doesn't bother me. I have learned alot more by being corrected. If we're not corrected; are we going to be deceived by the False Prophets out there? The Bible tells us in 1JN.4:1 "...to try the spirits whether they are of God:"; it doesn't say to fight or argue which in turn leads to strife(James 3:16).
JAMES 3:16 = "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work."
Here is some verses to make people wake up.
1COR.3:18-19 = "Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness."
PROV.1:7 = "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction."
PROV.18:15 = "The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge: and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge."
PROV.28:11 = "The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out."

Because religion - ALL religion - claims absolute certainty, absolute "fact", absolute knowledge. If one cannot even permit the idea that one's own ideas might be wrong, it will inevitably lead to animosity, and depending on the venue, violence.
The least violent and most tolerant people throughout history have always been the ones willing to say, "I might be wrong".

There is no fight it is just that stupid and delusional individuals seem to think there are such things as gods, non existant individuals such as jesus, moses, mary etc really existed. Some severely brain damaged individuals still believe in the virgin birth that says all you need to know about religon.

Same thing with politics, too. I, as a christian, get so passionate about God that I feel the need to make sure my point is known. And I feel that I am right.....as do others, hence the heated debates.

because theres no definite answer to religion, everyone would like to think that thier belief is the true one or they wouldent believe in it, but they cant understand why other people dont believe what they believe!its basically all down to the fact that some people don't want to or can't accept diffrence of opinion they like to think they're right!

Those who arrogantly use "freedom of speech" to air their bad manners aren't really true followers of any religion. Most religious people I know are peace-loving, and would never hit back if they were hit.
