Any advice on how to make the best of my time in the gym. Also is it so bad to do 30 minutes of cardio after lifting?

yes because muscles do have memory and when you start workout out again you shoudl see a nice fast change in appearance in the first few weeks.

No its not bad to do cardio after lifting. Its never bad to do cardio period. However the rule uof thumb is to do the one you hate the most first so you get it out of the way.

You will gain more or less your old form but not necessary faster than a beginner. It is proved that somebody who just started an exercise will develop power and will grow faster and with more results than somebody who did that exercise for a long time. It all depends on the type of the exercise and how different your current form is from your old one

everything that you have built up in 2 months time will be lost after 2 weeks of inactivity. so, you may be starting from scratch anyways. cardio is always good, you just might be a little tired if you do them back-to-back
