It's a combination of several things; with pride and love of self leading the way. We don't like being told what to do or worse, that what we're doing is wrong. We love ourselves and our sin too much to realize that God is holy...therefore, we either ignore Him, blame Him or are merely repulsed by Him.
Sadly, it was Him that sent His Son to take the punishment for all of us who are filled with pride and love for ourselves, rather than others.

I guess the real answer to that question is individual, not general.
From what I have gathered from hearing people say they hate or are angry with God . . . .
1) They think God does all these terrible things like kill a small baby, for what people see as no reason
2) Their mother or grandparents have some type of debilitating disease, or themselves that matter
Usually from what I have witnessed it is because they are not saved and do not have the full understanding that Satan is who creates these situations, that Satan and his demons are in the disease, famine, "bad luck" business.
It is so hard for people to accept Christ, accepting there is an "anti-Christ" is even harder.
It says in the end times this will come only more and more true.
Stick with what you know to be true, love and thank God for your salvation and pray for theirs.

The anger is NOT towards God, but towards those hypocrates that claim they the ones that know God better then everybody else, when Jesus said :'Ther will be many who will claim to have done .......in my name and I will tell them: I know you not!' Why do you think tthat is? If there are only supposed to be 144000 who will be redeemed (rev 14), then what about all the other Christians? How can you be sure that YOU are one of those 144000 and not amounst the rest that will NOT be redeemed? By the way; the bible states that it will be 144000 ISREALIES not Christians...Makes me think...

I don't think there is anger towards god, but towards christians who try to force their religion on society. It's just that the majority of the population is christian and they seem to have a pretty big influence on the american society.
See, look, when it's not something people want to hear they downplay it.

I never really had to try hard to find negative things about Christianity; pretty much, they are resounding.
I have no anger toward God, for I do not blame God for my shortcomings; I take responsibility for my own actions. I make errors.
I also believe God intended us to be intelligent beings, and feel s/he is amused by those who blindly follow as opposed to those who use inquiry.

Anger toward god comes from those who blame everything bad that happens to them. They blame everyone else and refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.

sorry kiddo ... but Christianity does not equate to "God". anger towards "God" would be like shaking your fist at the Universe, a pointless endeavor but i consider critiquing Christianity (and other mind limited religions) to be my duty to my species.

It must be satan, or some other equally retarded idea. You don't have to try very hard to find negative things about any religion.
Edit: Most christians are led astray from having a brain.

They hate God because they feel that God restricts them of their freedoms, aka sins, whether it be sex, drugs, lying, stealing, etc. They love their sins and want to say forever in them because sin "feels good", when in reality they are not free at all. They are slaves to their sins, hence they are slaves to the god of this world who has darkened their minds:
Satan

Most anti- Chjristians do so because they are easily led astray and deceived by liberal news media....AND because most have not even taken the time to read what the bible has to say.
