I made some "eggless eggnog" yesterday and didn't refrigerate it overnight, but it still smells ok. Is it ok to drink? The main ingredients were: cream, milk, rum and brandy.

Thanks!

Something else came to mind, that you can leave Bailey's out for up to a year w/out refrigeration. There is just so much left, would be a shame to toss it! I would've thought the alcohol would prevent any bacteria from forming- you know how they always sterilize stuff in the movies with it.

You should toss it. It has grown bacteria and will probably make you sick if you drink it. The alcohol overpowers the smell of the milk and cream, for now.

Brandy isn't a normally female drink, because of the fact it has a tendency to be quite solid and is extra of a sipping drink extra proper for a posh dinner than partying. Whiskey takes a while to get used to, fairly Scotch whiskey, has a tendency to be enormously costly and is quite solid - plenty more advantageous than the vodka which you're used to. it is likewise extra of a sipping drink, and in all hazard no longer a solid decision to Vodka. The rum you're maximum in all hazard to come again for the period of is the two mild rum or darkish rum. mild rum does not have numerous a flavor and is often enormously candy and robust as a mixer. darkish rum has a superb flavor and could be drank right this moment or on the rocks. "depressing" effects in alcohol are no longer a sources of the alcohol themselves (whether alcohol is a depressant), yet are the fabricated from somebody's own disposition for alcohol; there are lots of people who experience extra mushy or chuffed whilst they drink. Gin has a extra physically powerful alcohol content cloth than Vodka, that's why you in all hazard felt depressed whilst eating it. try reducing mild rum with some fruit juice and ice and notice the way you like it. you additionally can try some darkish rum and coke with ice and lime.

It takes about 12 hours for un-refrigerated milk to go bad. It should be okay. Keep it in the fridge to be safe.

Alcohol will cause milk to sour. Have you ever made a "white russian" and added to much vodka to the milk prior to adding the kaluah? The milk will curdle everytime.

I would still refrigerate it because it contains milk, anyways wouldn't it taste better chilled.

No. Milk is still in your eggnog and needs to be chilled.

Toss it and make a new batch.
