Read this before answering:

"Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."

If he knows everything, then why did he say "Now I know"

Where is that found in the Bible... I can't answer your question with out knowing where i can read that at in the Bible.... I'm positive those words were not from God, are you sure that Jesus didn't say that? Now I'm probably getting looked down on for saying that huh... Because all of you are saying Jesus and God are one... And your right they are, He's God in the Father, God in the Son, and God in the Holy Ghost.... Meaning that God is in Jesus, and he is in the Holy Ghost... There can't be one with out the other.... So I'm not saying that there not... I'm saying that Jesus does not know everything, because in the Bible God says that not even the Son of Man meaning Jesus knows the hour or the day when he will be told to go back and get his Fathers children meaning get those which are right with God... So Jesus does not know all obviously according to God... But God does know all, he knows everything from the begging to the end... I'm sure if the statemeant is in the Bible then it is ment another way, read the whole chapter and see if that helps...

It is a language of accomodation that ascribes to God human physical characteristics which He does not actually possess to explain His essence, policy, acts and decisiouns in terms of human anatomy. God knew all the knowalble in eternity pasy.Billions and Billions of years ago.

The word know (yada in Hebrew) means to have experiential knowledge of something. you're asking if G-d has a mental awareness of everything.
Even G-d is an experiential G-d. He was tesing Abram. G-d experienced Abram's willingness to step out in faith.

If so, he should know that the requirements to get to heaven are somewhat ridiculous. You can be the best person on earth, but if you aren't saved, then you can't go? I tend to believe that religion is just a way to control people. This is only my opinion.

well, the Bible god shows ignorance of his creations behavior from the get go when he has to search for Adam and Eve in the garden and has to ask why they cover themselves. also the Bible god ends up repenting his more destructive temper tantrum ... the flood. an all knowing super being wouldn't have to repent mistakes as he wouldn't make them in the first place.

If he knew everything, then he would not have had to kill everyone in a great flood.

God gave us free will. We can choose to screw up or do good.
Some times he stops our free will. Like you don't always have free will for when to die..
