I think it is money. coz money can sometime more powerful than god and at the same time more evil than a devil. Money is the root of all evil. There no limit to earning money, so rich people will want it as much as they could, while poor people will definately have it since they are only poor but not moneyless. Finally u can't eat those, u can only buy those.
