I get that pretty often. Like I thought there was an ant or mosquito but when I look at it, there's nothing there. I know it sounds weird but sometimes it does feel like something is crawling under your skin.

I watched this show on Animal Planet called Eaten Alive and it was about parasites. One man on the show that was telling about the parasite he had gotten on a vacation and it said that it feels like there's something crawling on the skin but there won't be anything there. I forgot what the name of the parasite is. I'm not exactly sure but it could be a parasite. You might want to get a doctor to check it out!

Dang, that just sounds creepy! How about scabi's? They crawl under your skin. Various reactions to medications can cause a similar sensation.

That sort of psychosomatic response happens to everyone and is normal. Every time someone says 'headlice', 'fleas' or 'mosquitos' I start itching like crazy. I just did then after typing it.

Seriously this can be casued by a neuro-muscular disorientation and also with some diseas. I am pointing out the physical causes only. Please dont treat this as a psychological problem and seek help from a medical professional

This happens to me a lot too, especially after I see something like a spider or a tick or something like that, even scorpions. Sometimes I feel like they may eat my brain, but usually I just cut myself.
