why do catholics say that when you die, you go to hell or heaven for the eternity... but then say that you reincarnate and live again? aren't you supposed to go to hell or heaven and stay there forever? how come you suddenly make the "patch" where now you can be reincarnate and reborn and once again "return" to heaven or hell?? i dont think that makes sense at all....

Because Catholics are messed up in the head. I don't even consider Catholicism the same as Christianity any more.

There is all too often a big differance between religion and truth. Today I listened to a preacher say he could not have believed if a preacher had told him that his father (an alcohalic) coulkd have gone to heaven. He sited a few verses that at first glance might suggest his assumption was correct. As I walked out I asked him if he had read the 15th chapter of first Corinthians. Told him there is some interesting stuff in there he might want to check out.

Religion is often a word that refers to a group think and a group think often leads to an idea that our group thinks more clearly than yours does and all the competition that comes after. God is not even in this part of religion.

There is truth however, and one such truth is the Bible does not deny that reincarnation is possible for some. In fact it talks of Elijah returning as a man.

Born again is a phrase Jesus used when speaking to a Levite named nicodemus, and had nothing whatsoever to do with what the term is used to communicate today. Jesus was talking to a Jew not a gentile and the comforter was not even available at that time.

I am not Catholic, but have been studying some of the things that they believe. I have not seen what you are talking about in any of my reading. I do believe that some Catholics still believe in a "purgatory" where they will go until their sins have been "paid for" before they are taken to heaven. This is not Biblical, but it doesn't talk about reincarnation and "living again". I do believe that they teach that once they have "done their time" in purgatory, that they go straight to heaven and spend eternity there. The Christians believe that a believer goes straight to heaven and that there is no purgatory. Does this make things any clearer? I hope so.

Yes, when we die, there is a particular judgement. Our bodies decay and our souls go to Hell or Heaven (Heaven via Purgatory).

At the end of time, our bodies will be resurrected and our souls will be reuinited with our bodies. Those who have been judged to be good will live in Heaven on Earth. Those who are judged to be evil will be reunited with their bodies as well, but will spend the rest of time in a physical Hell.

Reincarnation is usually defined as the belief that our souls will enter another body other than our own body. The resurrection of the body will be the resurrection of our original body, much like the resurrection of Jesus.

No religion is the word of God, the bible is the word of God. People corrupt the word with man-made dogma and false interpretations of the word.
