A little more expensive option is to buy this software for $30 (http://www.internetsoftsolution.com/pages/download.htm ).
I remember, Radioshack was selling something similar for around $40 and you should check that too. they install some hardware instead of software.

The virus will take longer to get carry of with the help of dial-up than with DSL, in spite of the indisputable fact that the probability remains a similar. and easily this is safer with DSL if there's a router because this is harder to hack with the help of a router than with a good away connection like dial-up.

Yeah. It's called Call Wave. When someone calls it will pop up and you can eithe click answer or ignore. If you press ignore the caller hears just like they would if you wasnt home and your answering machine picks up. If you click answer then it will tell the caller to wait a second for you to be able to answer their call. It shows the caller's name and number.
