Check this guys record out on boxrec 51 wins 0 loses 1 draw with 26 world title fights in total you won't find many fighters with a better record than that. But looking on his record i don't recognise too many names from it as ive never really followed the minimumweight division so its hard to assess how good he really was. So is he as his record would suggest a modern day legend, or just the best fighter of his generation in a very weak and numbers wise small division?.

Lopez was an absolute monster at 105lbs. One of the great fighters in the history of boxing. He was one of my favorite fighters to watch. A master boxer with very good power for the lighter weight divisions. If you can get a hold of his fights on video WATCH them. He was a man who handled himself with class in and out of the ring.

He was the pound for pound best in the world...Defeated everyone in his division (105lbs) He lost his pound for pound best title after he had a draw with a guy who's name is escaping.

Ricardo wanted desperately to go up 3 pounds and fight Michael Carbajal when Lopez was in his prime...But Carbajal wanted no piece of him....Bottom Line.... GREAT FIGHTER!!!

Lopez is one of the all-time greats in my opinion he brought much needed excitement to the lower weight classes....watching him fight was an absolute pleasure being that he was a class act and one of the most skilled and dominant fighters of ANY weight class
