I bought a bottle of Penguin Merlot - the bigger bottle. My boyfriend and I drank almost the whole bottle (we love wine) and didn't feel a thing. I mean we weren't trying to get wasted but usually, when I drink red wine I get a little flushed and tipsy. It was 11% alcohol. It was the weirdest thing ever. Maybe it was defected? Has this happened to you?

It might be that you had eaten right before or during, had alot of caffine in your system, or drank it too slowly. Try vodka next time

That has happened to me too and I don't quite know the explanation. Possibly you had recently eaten? Possibly your metabolism was operating a bit differently during this period but don't worry about it because it has happened to me quite often and I am OK and expect it will happen again. Will be interesting to see other folk's responses here to this one. P.S. I love Merlot too.

For some reason..I usually get a different buzz with wine. A few glasses only get me relaxed and sleepy..but if I drink more than that I lose my memory hhehehee

What did you eat? The food in your stomach could have slowed the alcohol entering into the bloodstream

This joke is at least 30 years old. But still funny.

I have also had Merlot and did not taste or enjoy it properly and would not have it again.
