In india for obtaining passport there is a police enquiry.
i have already given in my passport application via speedpost in mumbai.for the police enquiry i will have to go to the police station or the police comes to the house address.does anybody know?
please help me.

it's better that you go to the police station. the process will get completed earlier. otherwise if you wait for police to come to your home it will take lot more time. go to your nearest police station with your file number and ask them whether your documents have come for enquiry. they will tell you about further proceedings.

1. In actual scenario police will come to your place, and you have to pay the constable some supari.
2. If you know somebody in government or police esp AC above, you can directly visit the SP office or Commissioner's office and see the officer incharge of passport enquiries and record your identity.
But better case is alowing Constable to visit and paying some money, otherwise he may write something wrong about you.
I got my PP after visiting Commisioner's office and seeing the DC incharge of PP enquiries, as then commisioner was my relative.

You will have to wait until police knock your door.Usually they check your records for any offence if you have committed or court records if you are being prosecuted and was fined.Some times they gather the details from your neighbour too.I can't say anything about corruption in India.But only after the police enquiry you will be eligible for passport.

The police will be enquiring your details once they get the intimation from the passport enquiry department.

wow! this could be a tuff one. i assume no count what way you're watching it helpful is helpful and no one no count if male or woman have the the final option to place their hands on everyone with the point to harm. i could stay faraway from him and supply this time to blow over because of the fact there's a competent probability the police are already knocking at his door. while you're going out everywhere be certain you at the instant are not on my own & if he comes around attempting to argue and combat get as a good distance faraway from him as you could and phone somebody.
