If you want to free up space go this website below. Download ccleaner. It removes unused and temporary files from your system, allowing it to run faster and more efficiently, and giving you more hard-disk space.

Music files and photos take u the most space, try to burn those to cd and delete them off your pc by deleting the file in your My Docs folder.
Also see if there are any other documents you could store on cd rather than the hard drive.
A good solution would be to buy an external hard drive.

Then run Ccleaner.
http://www.ccleaner.com.
Uninstall any programs you don't need using Tools.
Use the Cleaner tool.
Then use the Issues tool.

Then defragment your hard drive from Start - programs - accessories - system tools - disc defragmenter. LEave it while it runs.
If it says you have two drives, c and d for example, do c first then d.
It won't actually make any more room on the drive but it will put the files away more tidily.

Also, run an anti adware and quarantine anything it finds, wait a few weeks before deleting.
Then run an anti spyware.

You need all three anti spyware programs;
http://www.ewido.net - AVG(Ewido) anti trojan.
http://www.lavasoft.com - Ad-Aware SE Personal anti adware
http://www.safer-networking.org - Spybot Search and Destroy anti spyware

There's a full list of software on my blog.

you should really be deleting too much of anything. if you go into my computer, right click local c:, and select properties, then go to the tools tab, and perform all three of those functions, that will free up the max amount of space possible your PC. beyond that, deleting cookies, and keeping a low history file for the internet, willl be about the end of freeing up space. if you still don't see what you want, your next option is buying more, and transferring files to the new drive

Double Click on My Computer on your Desktop

Right click on C Drive

Select properties

Select Disk Clean Up and follow the instructions

(get rid of the temporary internet files on thedrop down menu - they can eat a lot of space)

You can also defragment your drive which will create space and make your computer run faster.

Uninstall programs you don't use anymore, go back to Disk Clean Up, and choose the More Options Tabs. There is a free program called CCleaner, that will also safely clean up clutter. Your browser (Internet Explorer) saves web-pages and stuff you visit, sometimes setting aside 1,024 MG of space. To change this, open IE, choose Tools, Internet Options. Under Browsing History, choose Settings, and lower the number from 1024 to 50. Right click on the Recycle Bin on your desk top, choose properties, and you will see a sliding bar, lower it to about 5%. If you got allot of photos, you can compress them by going to My Pictures, choose Edit, Select All. Then click on File, Send To, and choose Compressed Folder, that should save space too. Best of luck

Ah...

I dont know exactly about the data you have on your drive or no. of partitions on your drive

but if is observered that most of the users store there data on C drive and there other drives are free.

what you can do is first clean all Temp files in temp folder and all internetfiles using explorer

then you need to clean your Recycle bin

Check your my documents and trf the files in other partition if you have space in them

if you dont have space in other partitions then take a backup of your my documents on DVD's

or get a New HDD installed.

You should do a disk cleanup and defragment your hardrive, you can do this under the start?programs>accessories>system tools option in windows

Under Start> control panel.
Add remove programs

And then remove programs you dont use or hardly ever use and dont need, you can free up some space that way.
