Dose anyone know what the statchu of limitations is on sue-ing to recover damages due to an asault?

a local lawenforcement agency arrested me for possesion of stolen property.(my friend that lived with me came forward and took responcability for it)I was out on bail 6 days,when the PD.came back and kicked in my doors,and sent in the K-9 dog to attack me (twice).only to re arrest me on the same charge.later they dissmissed all charges

do you mean statute of limitations? that is a civil suit. there may be one, but you need to look it up in your states civil siut guidelines. oh, and agaisnt cops, you have a snowballs chance in hell.
