Yesterday I purchased NFS Carbon and installed it on my PC. I started playing right away. Then i quit and went to bed. When I got up this morning, I couldn't start it... It would load the Intro and the show me the "click to continue" screen, this worked fine. Afterwards it showed me the "loaded---continue" screen and I clicked on continue...The game immediately stopped and I was back on my desktop! I looked into the task manager, but no NFS process was running. What could be the problem?

Try patching it, this happens to me sometimes with other games, patches usually work, though.

Sounds like something is corrupted. DLL files sometimes get corrupted or lost.
I'd try uninstalling the program. Reboot the PC. Then install the software again.
Usually this will fix the problem if it was in fact a corrupt/missing file.
