Mine never did. Kids will wake up when they have had enough sleep and since most are put to bed early they will wake up 10-11 hours later.

I think it's because they go to bed so early. My daughter is a little night owl and goes to bed around the time I do (10:30 or so). She does not get up early- maybe as early as 8 but usually closer to 9.

Their inner clock feels the morning coming.
They get put to bed to early.
But in general most kids dont move enough during the day, so they need less sleep. Like old people they dont sleep much.

Wet & Hungry. I give my son a snack before he goes to bed and his bedtime is a little later than normal for most 2 year-olds because I work graveyard shift and I want him to sleep a little later so I can get at least 2-3 hours of sleep before he gets up.

They bypass to sleep early besides, say they awaken at 7:00 and bypass to sleep at 6:30, little toddlers cant stay unsleeping as long as adults because of the fact they choose sleep to enhance and that they choose the day to play and excercise.

When I bartended at night I changed my sons diaper at 3 a.m. while he was asleep. He had a snack before bedtime and he would sleep in. Now he is older (potty trained too) and I have to wake him up. He stays up late with me so he sleeps in.

I think part of it is how excited they are to start the day. I know when my son could break open the door knob locks he started getting up 1.5 hours earlier or in the middle of the night- just cuz he could!
Can you imagine some kids are woken up by their parents?

Well most children do have earlier bedtimes than adults. Also each day is a new adventure to them. Always something new to learn!!
