This Wednesday makes 2 weeks post op of wisdom tooth removal, I had root canal 1 week prior on the tooth in front of where the wisdom tooth was removed. I have this ache with that tooth and am still taking pain meds. How long will I have this ache, it's driving me crazy!

sheikh sahib the pain may last a while unfortunately, you can ensure by looking at your oral cavity in the mirror that there is no infection and then consider things like oragel or alternate medicines for adults. they will numb up the gums and you may hurt less. otherwise do see your primary care doctor or dentist again, there may be a deep infection, good luck

it is quite possible that you have a dry socket where the tooth was extracted. i advise going back to the dentist and letting him/her look at you to be sure...the other possibility is that the tooth with the root canal still has infection remaining and still that is something the dentist needs to look at.
