In truth, Jesus actually was the first great liberator of women. All one has to do is look at not only the woman found committing adultery, but the woman at the well. He saw them for who they were and reached out to them.
Hardly demeaning.

Because they are suppressed and fooled by their christian male counterparts who seem to think men are better. Not true, of course. Women need to show men that they are equal. If the men disagree, then they don't deserve the woman.

i would like to know the answer to that as well. why do people think that muslim women are oppressed when in islam women and men are equal and have the same rights? do u think that women who show off their bodies and sell their bodies are free or women who cover their bodies from strange men are more free and protected? etc.... take care. salaam(pe@ce)
