There's no reason to celebrate holidays when in your current situation.
My best advice is to simply ignore the "holidays", and do whatever you can to distract yourself from the pain you feel.
After the "holiday season" passes, you may notice you feel less depressed. And from that point, you may be able to find some way to carry on in life.

First of all, I'm deeply sorry this has happened to you. Secondly, you are under no obligation to "celebrate" in the way that you used to. Life becomes a process of new normals after the death(s) of loved one(s).
Since you are a believer in God, spend some reflective time with God this Christmas season. He's the only one who can provide the comfort you need. God Bless.

I do not say to you to celebrate holidays to me that is an each to there own deal. However you have not lost all, you still and always will have the Lord walking next to you. He will never leave you. You will suffer in Christ. However the suffering is only temporary. Never forsake your God and remember you are washed clean in the blood of Christ. He can take all your pain, just ask him to help you and guide you. May God be with you now in your time of need and may He give you the Wisdom to take you down the proper path. God Bless You.

that's a novel idea, yet atheists are in many situations so intense even of alternative atheists that they could under no circumstances comply with this. some strays the following and there yet in many situations the reaction is something like this. "Atheism would not want a vacation because... it may't have a vacation because... it really is not what atheism is about blah blah blah." they could't in simple terms loosen up once later on for Pete's sake! i imagine a touch party of self sustaining wondering must be fresh, and also you'll guess that those sorts of grumpy atheists must be out and about celebrating their day off after publicly stating the following that it must be both adversarial to their beliefs and incorrect and "what for." *rolls eyes* lol

I am sorry for your loss. I am Malcolms-ex. I was a hater of the creator but now am a lover of the Lord. I have been where you are and I know that it is hard to listen and believe anything as you are in pain. I know that God has a plan and purpose for your life. I know that God works all things together for good for those who love him. I will pray for you. God answers our prayers before We even finish them. He will reveal himself to you and comfort you. When you are ready to hear more I will be back. Use1John1:9 and pray. This country needs Christians to save our freedom. You will be okay. Again, I am sorry for your pain.

God wants your attention and He will take from you until He gets it. When you turn to Him and accept His will in your life, God will restore it back and better than ever before. Praise the Lord!
Don't you realize that all things we posses came from God and can be removed by Him according to His will? Why should anyone be able to keep anything that was a gift from God if we arent' obedeint to Him and His word?
God might want more from you than what you have been willing to give Him. Pray to Him, and be greatful that you still have life. He will answer you according to HIS perfect will and HIs Perfect time. I shall keep you in my prayers.

Sorry to hear about your situation, but in your sorrow, can you see what love is truly capable of? I mean, you are sorrowful because at one time there was great happiness, no? You know both sides, but most importantly you know what love is....life is a cycle and hopefully this downward side will soon turn upward. Try to remain positive through this adversity and love will return to you. Good luck.

i am so sorry for you i know it is so sad to lose anything you love and it wont matter if anyone told you that he is sorry for you because he doesnt feel your pain.i just hope that you trynot to lose yur way because when someone is subjected to trajedy in his life he either goes to ways that makes him forget and he never does but he only hurts himself or he chooses the longer and hardest path which is the way to survivour and this is by praying to god and praying for those he lost.i wish you be ok.and hope you turn out to be astrong and tough person.

We're not suppose to get all caught up in Holidays, anyway. Rejoice because you STILL believe in God. And please keep the Iraqis, soldiers, & others around the world that are suffering, too, (or more) in your prayers. I hope someone takes mercy on you & helps you in your time of need. {hug}

You should celebrate so that you can be with the family you still have. But if you don't feel like celebrating you don't have to. Do what makes you feel better.
