so i understand that chronicles of narnia is full of symbolisms and connections to the bible, so what then does the battle represent?
I was interested because i thought it wasn't christian to fight, since they're the main people who misunderstand the battle the muslims had to fight in order to defend themselves and save thier prophet like the children do for Aslan and Narnia. Does anyone know if this was just a fantasy addition to the story by the author? I love the books and movie!
Thanks!

It is a misunderstanding to think that Christians can never fight.Although some people do hold this view. Is it wrong to oppose the Hitlers of this world. I may have the ability to turn the other cheek and forgive but does that mean I should allow a pedophile to babysit kids. The majority of our fighting is spiritual but there is times where force is justifiable. There is a balance n everything. we must take great care in remembering that God loves all people. It is easy for people to claim God is on our side but we need to be sure we are actually on God side. By the way I am a big fan of the movie to. In Toronto at the Bay store on Queen street, they have done their Christmas display windows up depicting several scenes from the movie. It was so well done I wish I had brought my video camera. Really authentic looking.

Let's think about this.
The White Witch had just killed Aslan on the stone table...and, unknown to her, but witnessed by Susan and Lucy, Aslan has come back to life...the White Witch did not know the deep magic, that when an innocent victim sacrifices himself, the stone table will break and he will come back to life...
Now, there is a battle going on between the forces of the White Witch and Aslan's army...Aslan's army looks as if they might be losing, when
Aslan himself appears with Susan and Lucy, and the tide of the battle turns.....
Now, how could we fit this into Christian beliefs? Aslan obviously represents Jesus, and the White Witch is Satan, or Evil...
Evil kills Jesus in the place of sinners (Edmund), not understanding the Deep Magic...but Jesus comes to life again, destroying forever the need for sacrifice...
He comes to us in our battle against Evil....
And turns the tide of the battle in our favor!
He has conquered Death, for us, and, because of His sacrifice, we can have Everlasting Life!

Obviously, you do not understand the Deep Magic........

CS Lewis is a well known Christian author.Just "google" him He made many parallels. Aslan represents Christ and the White Witch represents Satan. I beleive the children represent us, Aslan dies beacsue he wants to save his people. Aslan paid a debt he didn't owe much like Jesus.

Maybe the battle was just a battle. Not every aspect of the book necessarily represents some kind of Christian concept.
