they tend to think very little, and let their pastors tell them how to think and what to say to people.

if they believe something as error-filled as the bible, obviously that occurs with very little thought, or none at all...

They say God gave all humans freewill and the Bible guides them to correct thinking. You may have no idea about the Bible but don't think that all christians it guides them. I have known even christians on here to use the thumb down when undeniable scripture itself has been used to provide a definate answer because it contradicted their personal agenda.
That is what I love about Jehovah's Witnesses they really do take the scriptures to heart and obey and live by it.
Never seen another religion do the same like they do. Respect.

Christians do think for themselves, but the Bible is their guide. Its like the map. Its what they should do, but that doesn't mean they dont think for themselves. They make choices that they want, but that doesn't mean that God agrees with it. The Bible isn't the replacement of a human mind, and thinking process, its just a guide for right and wrong.

I have a feeling that not many Christians have actually read the entire Bible in the first place. I'm sure there are stats out there that support it. I'm sure many Christians really want to get around to reading the Bible, but have no time to.

I find that question to be somewhat offensive, as I am a Christian myself. While the bible is our guide, it does not provide as many answers as God himself does. But it's not like Christians ask God before they do everything. We can make decisions for ourselves. At least in my denomination, It's just when we're very confused that we ask god for help. Heck, god gave us free will!

jen1981everret, do you even know what the heck you're talking about?! I'm guessing you're not a Christian, otherwise you wouldn't be talking that way. Maybe you should read the bible before you say such things.

They let the bible think for them. Look at most of the answers already. Most of them say that believing in god or trusting god's will or some other such nonsense, helps guide them when thinking for themselves. Your not thinking for yourself then. You are allowing the opinion of others to influence what you think and feel. Truly thinking for yourself means that you form an independent opinion of the subject based on the facts that you have been given.

The bible does all the thinking for the right-wingers.

The left-wingers do all the thinking for themselves and the bible is just an advisor.

Christians say the bible IS the word of god. SO, what do you anticipate? meaning the bible HAS to think of for them, cos it somewhat is god's word. Why could christians get indignant while somebody says they enable their bible think of for them? How else could you call it? the bible being in basic terms a "instruction manual" isn't precise in any respect. Christians, u would desire to consume your individual words.

depends on the person, this one of those gray questions where u cant classify and stereotype every person of the group.
