I have 5 tattoos and never once have i heard of a numbing cream for tattoos. Even if there really is such a cream, i highly doubt it will be of much help since cream would only be absorbed to the 2nd, maybe 3rd layer of skin if your lucky. The needle of a tattoo gun goes beyond that level. If your concerned about pain try taking a couple of Tylenol beforehand. Just don't take asprin or drink any alcohol as both of these will thin your blood and cause you to bleed more. Good Luck =)

Well, when I had laser surgery on my face for acne, they gave me topical numbing cream, so you could buy that from any dermatologist with a laser for about $20.
It worked well at first, but after a while I could feel all the pain.
I say use that AND take some ibuprofen beforehand! And make sure you're well hydrated!

Only tatooist can supply the cream to numb it. Maybe you can try it on ebay though, if you know the name of it. I find alot of tatoo supplies on there at LOW prices so that would be your best bet. Oh, you can also try a pain pill before you get your tat and it will help suppress the pain during.

I think you are thinking of emla cream - it only provides a minor numbing effect that does not last very long but to be honest part of having a tattoo is the buzz from the endorphins - they are so addictive!

I havent heard of a pain relief creme.......I have about 20 tats and never heard of this .........but most people I know like getting tattoed , I will admit that in certian area they sure do sting worse than others .......areas of the body where there is less fat tend to be more painful ....they may have some kind of creme with lidocaine in it that would ease the pain a bit ........

Maybe tattoos aren't for you, if the pain makes you want to pass out... That would be a bad thing to happen while a needle is poking you...

Go to the chemist and ask for the stuff they use in hospitals that they put on the back of your hand before they insert the big needle for blood tests. Only costs a couple of quid...

Creams and spay's are widely used nowadays. Be aware they DO NOT take the pain away totally. Sorry!
