I myself don't believe (of which I have my own reasons!)
But everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I don't have anyting against 'believers'..each to their own I say, so give me a thumbs down, report my question.....but don't slate me for not believing!

Sunsets sre from the sun setting..not from God....with all the bloodshed, war and hate in this world why would he exist??
My Dad suffered for months and eventually died as a result of Cancer, yet all these child molestors, sex offenders etc walk around in perfect health!!!
Is that because of God's 'wonderful' ways too?

Because that is the way they are taught, anyone who does not believe in the non existent god or gods or the so called prophets or some else who did not exist such as jesus is an unbeliever and if the right wing lunatics that run Britain and America get there way we will soon go back to the dark ages when anyone who even thought that there was no such thing as religion was burned, hung or murdered in some other way, beware of Blair and especially Ruth Kelly she is the real power behind the degenerating quality of education and the foisting of religious studies on children.

it's entirely up 2 u, lovey.
u can believe or not believe whatever u like.
God has broad shoulders & can take all the hate u put on him.
i 2 feel it ironic & unjust, that Good People suffer while Scum walk around without a care in the world.
but i must point out 2 u,
God's not in control, in-charge or responsible 4 the wrongs of this world.
i can't spout the Bible at u if u do not believe it, can i?
trust me, organised religion is nearing it's end, so no worries, all will become clear soon enough.
patience.

I do not believe in God either.
People of religions talk of Creationism. In many religious traditions, creationism is ideological support of the belief that humanity, life, the Earth, or the universe as a whole was specially created by a supreme being (often referred to specifically as God.
If this is the case who or what created God? You cannot have created without a creator

I wish there was an easy answer to your question. I have endured the same sort of abuse from some Christians (but by no means all) as I am Pagan. I have been told I worship demons and Satan, I do not believe in either so I cannot worship them. I think it might be fear for we non-believers in thier eyes, or fear of thier own doubts, or any other personal reason they may have. We do live in a land of freedom of religion yet it does feel at time that those of us who do not believe in the Christian pictition of God are slamed and abused because of it, I do not understand it any more than you. I am not out hurting anyone by my faith and not trying to get others to change thier beliefs to match mine. Personally I don't care what anyone else believes as long as they are not hurting innocent people and allow me the same freedom to believe without harm. I do understand what the Bible says, I was Christian for a short time, but even then I could not bring myself to tell all of my non-Christian friends that they were wrong in thier beliefs and that they would burn for eternity. For me spiritulaity is an extremely personal thing and everyone does what is right for them. In a class I took years ago there was a quote from a Scottish missionary (I can't remember his name) but I just loved what it said because to me it fits how I see religion and others beliefs. It said " God appears to the people in the form they can best make use of Him" which I ammend to include not appearing at all in some cases, not everyone feels the need for spiritual guidance, many feel the need for lots of it, it is all a personal choice. I can hope to not get slammed for my thoughts, but all I can do is promise to not slam anyone else for thiers. Good luck figuring this one out in a non-vague way.

It's basic psychology: when someone is unsure of their own beliefs, they push their uncertainty down and try to dismiss it and try to almost drown themselves in their beliefs, unconsciously hoping that this will ensure that doubt is forever gone. Then their identity and world view become so much defined by these beliefs that to question them becomes to question who they are. When someone comes along and touches on that doubt, what is at stake is their hope, their identity, and their whole way of relating to the world. With that, intense anger, attack, and defense are the only recourse. If they had strong faith because of direct experience, they would never react that way.

They arn´t against non believers, they just can´t understand it and want you to enjoy the benifits of belief. Jesus went arround spreading the word, and these folk are just following his example.(christian viewpoint)
Somewhere down the road you will need to believe, you will need Gods help in some dire situation. And even if you are a mega non believer, sinner, he will help.
Do you seriously believe that all the beutifull sunsets, forests, rolling waves on white beaches, the night sky and whatever else just happened by accident??

Don't worry, it is not easy to believe. I believe, but can quite easily see how others do not share my viewpoint. Maybe others take their belief for granted, and do not put themselves into the shoes of those who have another belief. At least you are asking, and it's only human to want to share a treasure after all.

Everyone IS entitled to their opinion, because God's gift to everyone is Free-Will, how you use that is your perogative, the simple law at work is: actions have consequences just like in the physical world this applies to our choices....so the lesson for us all has to be: Choose Carefully: What you think, what you say and what you do.
