Don't be deceived my friend by the DaVinci Deception....
The Scripture foretold of deceptions like these....
" Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy..."(1Tim.4:1)
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who shall privately bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, bring swift destruction upon themselves". (2 Peter 2:1),

Loaded question here. The Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction. Jesus was a Jew. Jewish men do not stay unmarried. Dan Brown made several easy-to-disprove mis-statements in his book, but he did a lot of research and is an intelligent guy. I think maybe some of his "errors" were on purpose, maybe because his publisher felt that the subject matter was too controversial and too close to the truth.
When we talk about the life of Jesus, we're either talking about history or about mythology. History usually requires a few different accounts from a few different points-of-view to arrive at an objective picture of what really happened. Mythology only requires one good story. The Da Vinci Code could be an important alternate historical perspective, or just a counter-myth.
Mary Magdeline was a character in the myth and in the history. I think we can assume that if Jesus was a real person, so was Mary.
There is a Gospel of Mary Magdeline in the books that were left out of the standard Bible.
And the person to Jesus' immediate right in Da Vinci's Last Supper sure looks like a woman. And it was painted a good 1500 years after the time if Jesus.
The Proiry of Scion has been proven to have been a hoax. The Knights Templar were a real religious/military order that started in the 1100's Tracing history isn't easy on any count.
Of all the secret societies that Dan Brown mentions in his books, he doesn't say much about the Brotherhood of the Rose Cross- the Rosicruscians. Hmmm.
I don't pretend to understand the Christian view of sexuality. On one hand, they use a "nature as God intended" argument to condemn homosexuality, but on the other hand, some Christian sects still call celibacy a virtue even though humans have to have sex to procreate and the first commandment of God to humans as recorded in Genesis is to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. There is a lot of the Bible that is clearly about the people of God having and raising children, including the first chapters of some of the Gospels of Jesus. The Bible is full of "begetting". Why then, should we think it is sinful that Jesus may have begotten children. What is sinful about the idea that Jesus may have married, impregnated his wife and raised children? He might have been a very good father. What could be a more important lesson for his followers than the importance of good parenting?
I don't find anything in the Bible that even hints that marital sex is sinful. Without sex, we would all have to wait around to get pregnant by angels. The human race would have died out by now.
If you look at all the religions in all the world, there are a handful of common practices. Marriage- or some form of commitment between a man and a woman- is a very common feature. Most humans around the world have long recognized the value in having both a father and a mother to raise children. In the time of Jesus, a marriage ceremony would not have been the now-familiar Christian ceremony, but they must have had some kind of formal commitment. Abraham and Sarah were married and so were Mary and Joseph. It is not at all absurd to suppose that Jesus could have been married and marriage is not a sin. Jesus could be both married and sinless.
But for some reason- some reason I don't know- the big Church doesn't see it that way. That is a problem. Sex is a requirement of sustained human life. Commitment to a sex partner and to the offspring produced with that partner is a required condition for well-developed human beings. To call a required, natural thing a sin is a thing I don't understand.
Well, to be honest- I don't WANT to understand it. They go their way and I go mine. As far as YOU...make up your own mind.

First of the all, the knight Templar is masonic order who worship Bahomet/ Molech/Lucifer. Thier thought comes from the solar, moon and stars. Jesus preached the dominion of God who's the author of the universe. So there continues to be a universe of transformations contained in the problem matter it rather is said contained in the Da vinci and the gospels of the hot testomony. the real reality is that Jesus has go back with skill and tremendous glory and with the message that promises salvation, desire and eternal existence it rather is of far more advantageous value to the human soul than any romance tale ever informed.

We just watched this movie last night. I do not think this possible from my personal view. I feel that Jesus died without sin so that when we die our sins will be forgiven. If Jesus was to have fathered a child with Mary Magdalene then he would have had to have sinned even though it says in biblical times to be connected was the same as being married, to have a sexual connection at all is sinful. I can't help thinking when Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden God said go forth be fruitful and multiply, up to the disobedience of Gods rules in the Garden nothing was said about having relations.

The devinci code is a complete fictional movie. There is no truth to any of it.
Mary Magdalene-Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
She became a follower of Jesus and was with Jesus Mother Mary at the cross of Jesus.
John 19:25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
She was also the one who say Jesus after He has rose from the dead.
John 20:18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
There was never a love affair between Jesus and Mary that was anything more than Mary being a devout follower of Him. Anyone who says other wise is a liar.

It is a relatioship that has not been verified by any historical documents. Dan Brown tries to use the Gospel ot Phillip to suggest there was a romantic tie. But the text in the gospel reads, "And (blank) used to kiss her often on the (blank)." The blanks here represent the missing areas of the extant manuscripts. They do not actually say Jesus kissed Mary often on the lips. Dan Brown would like them to say that. But quite frankly, it could just as well have said Jesus used to kiss her on the forehead. But even more to the point the gospel itself has been proven to be false even by liberal scholars. It is known that Phillip did not write the gospel of Philip.

From one Monika to another: I dreamed that Jesus was indead married to Mary Magdalene, and she WAS NOT A WHORE. The church made that up to insure Christians wont believe the truth. I also dream that he was born again 4 years ago and his daughter from back then is now his mother. Mary and JOsef are also back. But they are kids. But Elijah who is in his 50's has to first PAVE the way . This gives you an idea how far away the kingdom is! Believe it or not...My dreams have the habbit of coming true! Over 500 have come true so far...

The Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction
The Bible is a work of fiction
Jesus and MM were fictional characters, so their relationship doesn't exist outside the fertile imaginations of the authors.

I have read the Da Vinci code, but the author HIMSELF say that everything in that book is FICTION. He made it up, it's not based on anything, and the person on the fresco is Jon, NOT Mary. He just must be very observant, that he noticed all those things, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are true.
So if he made it up himself, why should we believe it?
But, we might never know the answer to this question - maybe there was something that we don't know. We might never know the answer though...

It goes against what I was taught in church while growing up.
But, at the same time, I don't see how it is so blasphemous. I mean, why COULDN'T Jesus have been a husband and a father and still been a great teacher, a prophet, and our Savior?
