When it comes to religion, a lot of people are unable to accept anything aside from what they were raised to believe or have come to believe. They believe that their way is the right way, and everything else is just bunk.

I think it tells you something about Oprah's target audience. It seems that most of the folks in the studio audience, and those forwarding this around, are opposed to the idea. I bet she was very surprised and I wonder if it will have her wondering if she should continue. I mean here is this warm and wonderful woman, speaking loving words of tolerance and understanding of our diverse culture and having her core group of supports go so bad on her. I wonder if it gives her pause and makes her wonder who these people are after all these years.
When you look at it in that context, maybe it is no surprise. Maybe her basic demographic is republican christian women between the ages of 35 and 65 - I have no idea. Almost all the people I know are religiously unaffiliated (or Pagan) liberal democrat women and none of us are fans of the show - in fact I never would have known it happened except for your telling me so here.
Peace!

Wow this is news to me ... but then again I don't follow pop culture much. I assume Oprah is Christian. If you are Christian it is the main tenant that Jesus is God's son ... Jesus was sent to us to take away the sins of the world. You cannot be Christian and NOT believe that. So basically Oprah is either not Christian or if she is, what she said is an apostasy.

Oprah is a liar and believes that God is a female as well.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The only way to get to the Father in Heaven is through acceptance of Jesus as your personal Savior. There is NO OTHER WAY! Oprah will have to stand before God on the day of Judgement and explain why she misled so many people with her lies about salvation and who God is.
Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Psalms 118:9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
Proverbs 3:26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Study the word of God daily and you will recognize when you are being lied to about Him. Praise the Lord!!

I am sorry I missed that program and thumbs up for Oprah to have the guts to stand up for her view. She is more of a true Christian then those that were 'stoning her', as Jesus called it. Oprah: KEEP IT UP! You are right and WELOVE YOU>>>!

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ
" I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live ; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die". - Jesus (Jn. 11:25)
" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)
Did you get the message this time?
