How do you feel about going to take the test each time? What would you do if you were found to be HIV positive?

I am afraid each time before going and while waiting for the results but then I am okay once I get the negative result. I have been more careful as I mature but I wasn't always careful in my younger years and My exhusband used to cheat on me. So I worry. I know that it could take years to manifest.

I work in a hospital laboratory. Testing is a way of life for me, obviously since I work about blood and blood products for a living.
I realize in my line of work I stand the chance of catching all kinds of diseases, and practice Universal Precautions help protect myself.

I believe that it takes AIDS years to manifest sometimes but you can tell if you have HIV within 3 months, at least that what they say at the health dept.
