A Spirit measure is 1/6th of a Gill which is a 1/4tr of a pint, and there are 20 fluid ounces in a pint. So there are just over 2 shorts in 2 fl oz

Spirits in the UK are sold in either 25ml and multipes of or 35ml and multiples of. Each unit will choose either to use 25 or 35 ml

most spirits are 25 mill
our local does 35 mill measures
port is 50 mill
so is martini
usually tells you on the bottle

Just get it down you, there is never enough drink in a short anyway. Buy it by the litre.
