Normally softwares come with an "Uninstall" wizard which will guide you in removing the software from the system. For this you can click on "Start > All Programs > [program name] > [unistall option]". Alternately, you can use the "Add/Remove Programs" which is a windows built-in wizard to uninstall the software installed. For this click on "Start > Control Panel", double click on "Add or Remove Programs". A new window with the list of all the softwares installed on you system will show up. Some times this window might take few seconds to show load and show the list. Scroll through the list of the softwares and select the software which you would like to uninstall and click on "Remove" button to start removing the software from your computer.

goto start -> control panel then a window will be opened, in that you will find the different number of softwares which are installed in your system , just select the software that you want to uninstall and press the button of uninstall which is present there itself.
for some software applications the uninstall option will present in their area of the start->program files-> the respected software area that is place there. just click on that option , it will be automatically removed from your system.

Well buddy there are two in which you can do this :
1. Select the software from the "start" and directly remove the software, by clicking on the "uninstall".
If your software doesnt appear on the "start" panel then directly go to the software installation directory and run the "uninstall"(".exe" file)
2. Go to "Start" select control panel and go to "Add or Remove Program". After clicking one window appears and select your software in that window and click "Remove".
Enjoy UNINSTALLING

After removing the program through Add and Remove Programs, run a registry cleaner. You can get the one I use at http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2048 . That is if you are using XP.
