Lovers call it by many different names, its defined differently and uniquely by each and every person. Matrimonial ceremonies claim that love is not jealous or boastful. Love is not a gourmet dish, a domesticated animal, or a latest trend. Love is not a strategic defense mechanism nor the best kept secret at the Pentagon. Love is not a seasoning to bottle and stick on the dust lined shelves of the spice rack. Love is not to be confused with adhesive tape.

Instead, love is a great counterpart to late evening thunderstorms on hot July nights. Love goes well with cold pizza on picnic blankets. Love is cold, wet sand between bare toes. Love is a capitalistic sell-all for novels, top 40 pop songs, summer movies and greeting cards.

In its simplest terms, love is a four letter word. Much like other words of similar letter make up, when expressed it can evoke pleasure, desire, tenderness, laughter, pain, and anger. Love is food for a happy mind. It is kindness, devotion, or affection to another. Love is the most wonderful experience in the world, yet it can hurt you more than anything, physical pain hurts less. Love is sacrifice. Love is quite good if shared between two with trust and understanding, and at the same time dangerous.

Love is so hard to define because its felt, expressed, and viewed differently by each and every person. We all come to know love over time though, the good and the bad side, one way or another.

Love isn't something you can just say to another person are really describe, you must feel it in your heart when it over comes your body. It's really like when that person you are with is sitting next to you and you don't even have to touch them, the chemistry that flows through your body tells you that no words have to describe that you love them, it's your body that is telling you. When you find it you'll know don't get it confused with lust or a t the moment of attraction, because those are two other different feelings. Good Luck!

Love can be a deep good feeling between 2 people.
Between friends: LOVE IS A FEELING YOU HAVE BETWEEN 2 PEOPLE THAT KEEPS FRIENDSHIP STRONGER.
Family members: THAT'S WHAT KEEPS THE FAMILY TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT---SOMEONE ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU.
Mates: LOVE IS ALSO TRUST BETWEEN YOU HUSBAND/WIFE. IT CAN ALSO BE FAITH IN THAT PERSON.

Basically, love is the greatest feeling in the world. I guess it's like a wheelchair, cane, or crutches for a handicap or someone hurt---it supports them, it's strong.
It can also be sensitive like a water balloon. If you abuse it, it'll pop, it'll die off......
Love can be compared to alot of things.
BUT IT'S THE STRONGEST THING THAT CAN HELP YOU THROUGH THICK AND THING WITH ANYONE YOU HAVE A DEEP GOOD FEELINGS FOR.....

Love isn't a word you can just describe. It's a feeling inside. You know when it's there.

I agree with the first answer but would like to add that it is also loving unconditionally, without judgment or limitations.
