I'm starving, but I hate to eat because it hurts too bad to swallow and everything.
I even am getting to the point where its painful to swallow my own saliva.
Just wondering if anyone else puts off eating/drinking when they have a sore throat.

You most likely have strep throat. Take small sips and bites and holding your ears shut works for me. You should get a strep test right away at the doctor.

It sounds like you may have strep throat and may require antibiotics to cure it. But, try gargling with warm salt water. I know it don't sound like something you want to do but it will help your throat.
