I met a nice girl here in florida....she lives in arizona and I live here in florida. She had bought a plane ticket to come see me on december 6. Well I had been looking for another car the whole time. After no luck i went to buy a car on ebay....i wired 2500 bucks to the seller...I didnt get the car. I was defrauded out of 2500 bucks! My long distance girlfriend sympathizes with me and we both talked on phone for weeks and everything was great ....she even calls to give me phone sex. I mean she was really crazy about me. Then today she calls me and says she has got the flu. Then she says dont be mad..but im not coming to florida to see you. Then she says in a nice way--my situation needs to improve before comes to see me. I was cool and said ok and acted happy about it. Then i said "well take care of yourself." Then she says can we talk later? I said whatever. I think she lost respect for me after I got suckered out of 2500 bucks. What do u guys think? Why is this happening to me?

Honestly, I think she's afraid that you might be a fraud... which of course you aren't. By telling her about your unfortunate experience with the ebay fraudster, she might think that you're going to ask her to loan you the money when she comes down... and that you have planned the whole thing to begin with, and that makes her a little paranoid about your true intentions. People in general, don't like money to be mentioned in the early stages of a relationship.
I just feel that a long distance relationship is very very hard to sustain which is mainly caused by misunderstandings. And some people have a fetish for certain stuff, such as phone sex... so it doesn't really mean that phone sex equals love and care. It just means she gets a kick out of having phone sex.

Been there! More then likely she is married or has something going out there. Did you actually see the plane ticket? I dont know about you but if I paid for a ticket I would use it no matter what. That is a lot of money. I dont think she lost respect I think it was something on her end. Everyone has been frauded at some point in their life, Im sorry it happened to you. I would keep her as a friend and find someone that you can actually spend time with in person. Phone sex is nice but the real thing goes a little bit furthur for me!

What is exactly your situation? Do you have a car to drive right now? Do you have a place for her to stay when she gets there? Was this for a visit, or something permanent? I know you are disappointed, but getting an attitude isn't going to help your situation or provide you with any answers. If you really want a relationship with this girl, you need to learn to talk to each other. Communication is one of the biggest problems in relationships, and if you are going to start off your relationship this way, you may as well end it now. I am sure it has nothing to do with getting screwed out of your money. THE TWO OF YOU NEED TO TALK.

Buying cars over ebay isn't a good choice if it's not local. Did you contact ebay because there's something where you can get the money or at least half. Long distance relationships are hard. I don't think she's too worried about the money you got ripped off. You should ask her about it.

Remember that when it rains it poors, and when things happen to you all at once they come in threes and you feel like your the only person that these things are happening to. I would just try to move on even though it is hard and keep saying "nothing is going to get me down", becasue in the end you'll over come all of this and you feel like a stronger person. Good Luck!

That could happen to almost anyone. I wouldn't have sent it but you know the details, I don't. The girl, maybe she really is sick.... have you talked to her since? Hopefully, you'll get back on track and things will work out for you. Good luck!
