Anyone agree that Oprah's question contained spam? Are TV shows allowed to come on Y*A & tell us to watch?

well it does sound strange that Oprah would do that where would she have the time to start with. I was wondering the same thing myself as some of you were was this Oprah or improper. The real Oprah would not do this. but if it is not Oprah she would. I believe you should not go around saying you someone you not, I think that is entire possible. When you have a lot you are require to give a lot so to me she has done nothing wrong by giving her money away. I rather have someone that willing to give there money than someone that rich that keep there money. I love her to death I love someone that gives. I don't think she any better than me and she not saying that she trying to get us all involved. She quiet a lady. Is she trying to get us to watch her show I don't know. if you worried report her she have violations trust me they will find out if she the real Opera or if she spammering. I hope you wrong that won't happen.

Is it considered spam to add a link and point the "asker" to another website when we answer a question? Oprah's suggestion that we can find more information on this topic by watching her show is just that. It's outside the norm, to be sure, but it's just another venue for seeing how people answer the question.

I'm really surprised at the criticism being leveled at Oprah here. Can any of us say that we exercise generosity or live a "pay it forward" lifestyle to the extent she has done and continues to do? I choose to believe that she lives by a simple creed: To whom much is given, much is expected (Luke 12:48)

I think I've seen her show maybe 3-4 times, but I continue to count myself among her millions of admirers.

I disagree that Oprah's question is SPAM. The idea here is to create dialogue, and perhaps, by studying all of the answers, you find one. Her public image just adds interest to the idea that all sorts of people are looking for answers.

Spam doesn't have the same effects.

As far as "telling" you to watch her program, that is something left up to the individual to decide. The question was thought provoking at a time of year that alot of people wish they could give $1000 to someone just to do something nice for a perfect stranger. You and anyone else always have the opportunity to report anything as abuse if that is your wish. How do we know it is affiliated with Oprah's organization?

oprah is human just like the rest of us..she can asked questions or answer them just like u do..ur just jealous of her fame..leave her alone..she didnt threaten or make an degrogatory remarks to anyone.so if u dont like her thats ur problem..u dont have to answer her questions or deal with her n thats your right..but u have no right to say who can come on yahoo answers.if yahoo answers feels that her questions or statement is spam im sure that wouldnt have allowed it.
