Yes, and your story amply demonstrates it. Meaning,

How you bring the world into focus, is your reality. You could have created the same scene but from the negative. "Everyone's life is better than mine! Look at them. So peaceful. I hate them because it's obvious they are so happy." Instead,

You brought a completely different thing into focus. You recognized love.

You are the creator. You create your own reality. THAT was my fundamental awakening.

I had a similar experience on the weekend.

I attended a Christmas gathering for all of my female relatives on my Mom's side of the family and even though there were a lot of us and I may only see some of these women once every few years because we are spread far and wide and all have our own lives and families and daily issues to contend with, we are all connected in some indescribable way. I could physically and emotionally feel the connection there between us all and I felt like I was in a time and place where I truly belonged. It was a feeling of joy and love and a feeling of this is how life is supposed to be. I could almost feel the presence of our female relatives who had passed on before us there with us as well. It was a lovely day!

Yessbut lately it has not really bee it good it has beeen the other way as my 15 year old son thinks he is king tut and knows it all and should be able to control his own life. The sadness that no matter how much I love my children adn I am there for them they can still turn on me if they want the way of the world, And yes I have had times that the love and respect are there but they are getting far and few between. But I do know that Godd is there for me always and will carry me through when things get too bad. Enjoy those awesomw memories and the closeness and I will pray that it continues all ittakes is one to take their eyes off of God and it can be God maybe even forever but I hope not.

Nice story....yes, I had one last night. I was copying our wedding video from VCR to DVD last night. As I watched this video for the umpteenth time, something hit me as I watched our first dance as husband/wife. There were rows of relatives and friends in the background talking, eating, watching us dance, and generally having a great time. I don't know why, but this time when I watched, I felt like this is the way it is in heaven...when we pass from this earth, it's a big celebration with certain family members watching and waiting for your arrival home. It was surreal. It also confirmed for me what you say above..."no matter what happens...I will have the support of friend(s) and family and they will love me always."..

In the old testament, they used to pile rocks in places that needed remembered.

It sounds as if you have a place of remembrance to pile some stones, when things are bad, go back to that moment and remember.
