For those who have doubts if deterrents work what would happen if a huge alien ship capable of blasting us to pieces was to sit in space and warn us if we didn't stop wars they will disintergate us what would we do!!

Not in this case. The Muslims are fighting a religious war. They would think it was a sign from Allah that the end of the world is now and they would all be Marta's next to God. Or that is what the Imams would tell them to think.

Try convincing all people in the world first.Not all of them believe alien exist.Most of them still believes in what they fighting for even if it is rediculous.So how will deterrents work??

I can't for the life of me see why an alien ship would even want to be bothered.
But detterents DO work...our nuclear arsenal is probably the only thing that kept the Soviet Union from attempting to take us over.

They do, just not everybody is afraid of the same things. There are traffic cops, but people still speed. The cold war was full of hotly contested battles and we were brought to the verge of nuclear extinction is Cuba. So the answer is it only works to a degree.

That's a good question. I guess it depends on how much people value their lives. If you're asking someone who would suicide bomb, I'm gonna go with no. but if you're asking me, hell yes it would stop me, not that I have much say anyway haha.
