most of them are pretty tough but it depends on what kind it was and how hard it hit the ground. just get it developed any ways becuase you never know!

If it was a film type, these use an APS cartridge and most times even if light has gotten in the camera, the pictures you took first might be OK. If light got into the camera it will definitely ruin some of them. Can you tell if it is still sealed? Have it developed.

If you used a digital disposable (one time) camera, it won't make a difference if light got to it or not. The pictures will still be OK.

Even if it broke in half, don't trash it!
That kind of camera usually rewinds the exposed frames back into the film cassette, so the already taken pictures would be safe inside the dark and would be fine. Your photo finisher can rescue them from the broken camera and they should develop just fine.

That depends upon the damage to the camera. As long as the film is not exposed, it will develop OK.

They should. I once got frustrated with one and spiked it, and when it hit the ground it took a picture lol.

If the camera is still intact- it isn't totally broken apart, then YES! If it is broken... trash it.
