I've been waiting to ask this girl out on a date because of our conflicting schedule. We've been talking for a couple months and seem to get along pretty well.
I have a Christmas party to go this Firday night for the compnay I work for. I was thinking about asking her to go with me, but I'm not sure if that would a weird setting for a first date. My parents will be there because my Mom works for the same company.
Should I just wait to take her to dinner and movie or should I ask her to the party?

I would ask her to the party. And as a woman I dont think it's a weird setting. You are gradually working into the relationship.
And why do you men always think of dinner and movie as a first date?
If you really want to catch a ladies attention do something that has some relation to what she enjoys along with dinner. You know her pretty well Im guessing if you have been talking for a few months.

DO NOT take a date to your company party that you aren't sure of...for one, she may act in a fashion that embarasses you in front of the people you have to see on a daily basis. Number two, if you want to get rid of her anytime soon thereafter, she's made connections to all the people attached to your present career. You may or may not feel threatened by this, but it's just safer to make the first couple of dates a neutral location, away from family, friends or the job, trust me.

Ask her to the party and if things are great ask her out to dinner or movie or something and take it from there.

you want this female to know how you are becuase it your first date so the best way is to let her know how you are between your workers and your parents. if this is what you can do for a first date you should head for it you know yes a dinner is elegant both of you alone but when your with ur work mates she gets a feeling of how you react with others and even your mother but if you dont want your mother to know or see a dinner is good for privacy. females like to know how males react around their friends and workers

Why would it be weird.......oh your parents wow don't let that come between you do you want to take her to the party OK then do it I know it might be kina embarrassing but then after that you can take her on the real date so she can see the sophisticated you. Get it party you=Fun you, Dinner you=Sophisticated you. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! :-)
