Taking jesus, holy spirit, and the father all as GOD? Let's just throw maryam for the sake of "yes, people do aknowledge her too". And please don't give me that "you believe they are all in one sent down by the father to mankind by his only begotten son". Because with that statement alone, you can see the hypocracy for that notion of TRUE monotheism. Then one would argue that it is all jesus. Reality check, same thing. Then who was he praying to? Not himself.
Holy mary mother of GOD? Woah, GOD has a mother? Son of GOD? Woah, GOD has a wife? I never knew GOD was an aldulterer. So to be logically correct, if maryam gave birth to the son of GOD, does that mean that GOD is her husband?

Greenwood: So is america representd as the father, son, or holy spirit? Assuming that we as mankind are the 50 states. So, is that 51, 52, or 53 from a starting point of 3?
There are the 50 states, then there are also the creation of the 50 states. Get my point?

technically yes ... if the same is to be said of Hinduism...
when a religion has aspects of one God being spilt then it may be looked at as polytheism
however it is about perception ... as i dont believe this to be the case with Hinduism
but many do
spliiting aspects is still bringing those aspects back to the same source

Nobody understood the Tri-Unity of God (Trinity). The word GOD is not singular in nature. It is derived from the word ELOHIM (plural) not ELOAH (singular). If you will read the scripture especially the genesis account of creation, you will notice the statement "And the spirit of God", God is Spirit, does the spirit has another spirit? NO, isn't it!
In the baptism of Jesus in river Jordan, John the baptist heard the Father speaks "This is my beloved son, hear ye him" While Jesus was being baptized, The Holy spirit manifest in the form of a "Dove" The manifestation of the 3 divine person (God, Jesus, Holy spirit)
Jesus sonship was only in Humanity not in his deity, becasue he was in human form. The Book of John clearly states the following: "In the beginning the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God, and the WORD became flesh and dwell among men ..."
Mary was not the mother of God. She belongs to the tribe of pure adamite stock wherein the messiah would come. And she was not revered by the believers (Christian). She is human and need a saviour too. Never in the scripture Jesus called her "mother", Jesus called her "WOMAN" which mean Jesus was not the product of Man and Woman relationship.
The birth of Jesus was prophesized in the old testament, most messages of the scripture is all about Jesus, the righteousness of God. When he first came into the world he is a saviour. His second coming will proved all nations, this time he is a Judge.
Revelation 22:
12 Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is.
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
14 Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.
15 Without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright, the morning star.
By the way, Christian are called SAINTS in the scripture.

Wow - you ask some great questions. Thought-provoking...and what you say makes sense. I always got confused about the trinity and the one god concept being all tied in together. I guess I chalked it up to being poor in math, lol!

Okay...example, there is ONE United States of America, but 50 states (and some territories) make up this ONE. So, you can have 3 things make up ONE God. So, no hypocrisy here....

Don't forget Satan; he is immortal, has his own realm, and can effect the lives and decision of mortals.
Sounds like a deity to me.

Good points, but you might want to change that to read Mary...I don't think everyone will get who you're talking about otherwise
