drink plenty of water. seeing as you are home schooled you may have more time, when you have your breaks why not go for a brisk walk or for a short bike ride. try and swap crisps and chocolate for healthier low fat ones. walkers now make Baked one's which are much lower in fat than the original. Cadbury make smaller bars like snack size and also smaller versions of dairymilk with only 99 calories. try and cut down on chips, or chage the way you cook them , if they are fried oven bake them.
try and be active for an hour a day it will help burn off the calories from the chocolate and chips.

There are two things you can do:
1) Exercise
2) Eat less
I heartily recommend getting some exercise. Not only does it help with losing weight, but you'll feel better physically and mentally too.
Speak to your parents about joining your local leisure centre. If your council runs one, it's often the best deal, especially since some health clubs don't allow under-18s as members. Try and get over there three times a week and spend about an hour exercising. Go for a a run, have a swim, or lift some weights. The important thing is to enjoy yourself. You don't need to kill yourself working out, just go at your own pace. The only person you're competing against is yourself.
And one more thing - those teenage hormones are practically as effective as steroids. Now's probably the best time of your life to make the most of them. They won't be around forever, so you might as well use them for something useful. :-)
Eating less doesn't mean starving yourself. If you eat fewer calories than you burn off every day, you'll end up losing weight. It doesn't matter whether you're getting the calories from carbs, fat or protein, from steamed broccoli, meat pies or chocolate chip cookies, if you eat fewer calories than you burn off each day, you'll lose weight. That doesn't mean that you should just eat junk, though. Eating healthily is called eating healthily because, well, it keeps you healthy.
Remember, too, that you're still growing, so you'll want to be putting on weight in the long run. I think the most important thing is for you to feel healthy and happy with yourself, and I can't think of anything better for that than an exercise programme.

If your healthy, don't worry about it. Its always good to do a little exercise but do go over the top. Don't try and be like other people, you are who you are. Anyway 10 stone is nothing to worry about. What ever you do don't skip breakfast. Its true what they say it is very important. This is the the meal that will be worked off the quickest and it stops you snaking at about 11. Stick to 3 meals and if you want to snack eat super noodles, they fill you up, don't taste too bad and you still lose weight. Anyway between Kate Moss or Dawn French, i would have Dawn any day.

How tall are you?A lot of adults would be thrilled to be 10st. If you gained a few pounds in the last couple of years, are you sure its not just because you've acquired your adult body shape?
If you're home schooled, you're not walking to school or doing the PE classes so you need to make sure that side of life doesnt get missed out.
Also, go easy on the flavoured water. Aspartame may be harmful and some experts say low cal drinks actually make you put on weight, for complicated body chemistry type reasons. If I were you I'd play safe and stick to plain water.

When i was your age i was overweight and i decided to do weight watchers. It really worked for me and I lost 3 stone. I looked and felt great!! It's better if you can get someone to do it with you. Me and my mum did it together and supported each other. She also made sure there was no junk food in the house just in case i had a weak moment! But remember what's on the outside doesn't matter as long as you're health isn't in danger. People should love you for your personality not your appearance. Don't get too caught up in the diet game, just chill out and relax. Taking up a sport and joining a local team is a great way of making new friends and losing weight. Good luck!

Hi, a good idea is to walk a fair bit, I have got to loose weight and am finding walking around the country where we live is working well.
If you live in a town it is probably more unsafe and therefore difficult.
You need to get up earlier and get a cereal that is high fibre like porridge and no snacking good well balanced dinner midday and eat your chocolate, and then in the evening before 19.00 have a small or light meal. something like an omelet (alright a few chips with it OCCASIONALLY)
Check on the so called spring water, it may be artificially gassed in which case it is really bad and may have sugar. Try Iced Tea light, maybe even watered down.

Replace the chocolate and chips with something more healthy. Perhaps start the day with a bowl of mueseli, or shredded wheat. That way you might not get so hungry later in the day.
As others have said, some exercise will do wonders. It's not so easy, though, you need to find a type of exercise that you don't get bored doing, and enjoy. Don't to too much, too soon, either.
My personal preference is cycling. As well as being a practical way of getting around, the ever changing scenery and fresh air are beneficial.
Hope it goes well.

Don't try to lose weight, as you are still growing, just concentrate on eating as healthy as poss cut out chocolate and chips as much as you can, and try to increase your exercise, swimming is good but anything must be regular, its more important to do a small amount of exercise regularly than a lot now and again. Its hard to exercise when you feel big and lazy, but walking is good and you could take your/neighbours dogs for long walks !
Good luck
PS porridge is a great thing to have for breakfast as you dont feel hungry again until lunchtime

hi there
To lose weight, the best thing is to do cardiovascular exercises like biking, jogging, walking at a fast pace...You are supposed to do them on an empty stomach in the morning or in the evening. The reason why we do it on an empty stomach is bcos u dont hav any food in ur body that it needs fuel to get energy for u to do that exercise.. Then, your body resorts to burning the body fat as a fuel. Do cardio for 40-45 mins 6-7 times a week. But, note this that cardio takes 30% and diet takes 70%. So eat 4-5 small meals a day which contains low carbs, high quality protein ( lean read meat such as chicken breast, nuts ( they hav good fats which make u lose bodyfat and good for general health ), beans, turky, tuna ) and lot of vegetables ( dont eat junk food like french fries or McDonal food or stuff ). By eating smaller meals more frequently the metabolism become fast and it help ur body put in an anabolic state which is good for losing fat. And avoid eating sugary food , sweets and the likes. Try to hav less stress ( just try to think that argument or whatever problem is not gonna kill u that you dont really hav to care much, for example). And try to get restful sleep around 7 hrs a day. SO, that is everything u hav to do. You will see the difference in 2-3 mths if u follow them strictly.
truth be told that alcohol , beer is very fattening and it decreases ur testosterone level resulting in estrogen increase which encourage ur body to gather more and more fat. And Fruits !! when losing fat, avoid fruits bcos they contains sugar and stuff which are fattening. Good luck :)
Dont forget to eat nutritious breakfast right after the cardio

breakfast is the most important meal of the day,and if you are eating chocolate at night you are not working the calories off so if you are going to have chocolate eat it earlier then work it off even if it is only a walk.also if you eat a alot of chips start grilling them instead of frying them that is alot healthier.just start by doing a few sit ups when you are watching t.v.you will be suprised any excercise does something even though you dont think so.
