Have they really got the right to charge you whatever they want? It seems so unresonable that when you are late for a few weeks, then they can increase the fine 2 or 3 times more of the original amount

You should have had reminders in the post for out parking fine before the bailiffs showed up....

Bailiffs can charge you up to £50 per visit, plus a fee for their time. Fees are currently not regulated and are merely expected to be 'reasonable', although there isn't really any guidelines on what' reasonble' is. If you don't pay your bailiff fees on time, you may get a personal summons from the courts as well.....

It's easy to avoid the charges. Pay your fine on time.
When you get a parking ticket, pay it ASAP.
