without a doubt

First, Jesus was a Jew. He didn't create Christianity; that came afterward. He didn't destroy Rome, Christians did. He didn't start the Inquisition, that was Christians. He didn't slaughter the European Pagans, that was Christians. He didn't decimate the Native Americans; that was Christians.

Jesus never claimed to be a pacifist, and before he was crucified, he told his disciples that if they didn't own a sword, that they should buy one. While emphasizing peace, he didn't preclude the possibility of violence at some times.

Still, he wasn't the actual author of all of the violence perpetrated by people using his name.

I don't know where people get the idea that Jesus Christ was the founder of the Christian religion.
Actually, as a student of the Bible, I have never found any reference to the thought of beginning a new religion in the first place.
Those that follow the teachings of Christ, or more correctly claim to, are called Christians.
that doesn't mean that Jesus was the one that initiated the term.

Jesus's life wasn't violent - his only recorded outburst of anger was clearing the temple courtyards of the moneychangers. He even accepted his betrayal and death with patience and love. If the Christian religion had followed his pattern in every circumstance, you wouldn't find the sorry history of murder and violence we have in our annulls. But to blame Jesus for that is like saying Mohammed is responsible for all the evils practised in Allah's name. People, flawed, fanatic, prideful people are responsible for religious cruelty. Not the founders of the reliegions.

Bad question !!! Don't mix the teacher up with His students, they may not have studied enough.

He was a pacifist and not a violent one. He could have been rescued by 10,000 angels, but thought it more important to go to the cross and save your soul.

I believe that's called an oxymoron, Sir.

However, I think the most violent award would go to Mohammad and his Islam, Sir. They'd win that title hands down. Billions killed and still in the counting.

Have a nice day.

No, because he was not violent. What people have done in his name makes his legacy one of violence. But he was not.

Don't blame Jesus for the creed that bears his name. He thought he was providing a system of belief that would guide mankind to enlightenment-he never envisaged what a monstrous edifice of meaningless dogma it would become.
