I know of a little girl whose mom is dead and the father adandoned her. She lives with cousins now but they really can't adopt her, eventhough they want to, because they have a very unstable home life. I was wanting to adopt the kid for them that way the little girl didn't have to go to a foster home or someplace worse. I know i'm in the military, but is this a possiblity for me to do and if so, how would i do it?

You will need to speak with a lawyer.

My family has had this problem with my "brother" We have had him off and on for about 10 years now. If the family that has her now is in agreement with you plan, speak with them. In most cases and in several states, there's no way in getting out of going to court. You and you're family will be more than likely evaluated by the welfare and other officials. If proven suitable, hopefully things will get less stressful from there.
