I have a chocolate cake mix, but I don't want to make a cake. I want to make a different dessert that includes the cake mix. I don't have any fruit...except pineapple. Does anyone have any ideas or recipes? Thanks!

How about pineapple upside down sponge, line the bottom of the cake tin with pineapple and just cook a sponge as normal, and flip it over when you're done. OR.. you could make a swiss roll.

75g Flour
75g Sugar
3 Eggs

Whisk the sugar and eggs together until it doubles in size, and then sieve flour on top and do figures of 8 with a spoon, DONT beat it, you'll loose all of the air you spent your time getting. When you've mixed it all in and got rid of all the flour pockets, line a baking tin with greaseproof paper and oil, and then pour it out onto a baking tin as evenly as possible, and then bake for about 10 minutes at 200 degrees. Afterwards, spread jam, marmalade, or chocolate spread, or whatever you like into it and then your done :)

I've made a pretty cool cobler-like recipe before camping with pie filling and cake mix. You could probably do the same with your pineapple if it's canned pineapple. Dump the whole can of pineapple in the bottom of a square baking dish. Mix the cake mix in a bowl with only half the directed water (until it's like a crumble) and pour over the pineapple. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until crumble starts to puff up and crisp (you don't want the batter to be raw).

Hopefully this works out for you!

Caramel Brownies
1 package chocolate cake mix (18.5 oz)
1 cup chopped nuts
1/3 cup + 1/2 cup evaporated milk-divided
1/2 cup melted butter
60 vanilla caramels unwrapped (one 14 oz package)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

In a large mixing bowl, combine dry cake mix, nuts, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and melted butter. Press half of the batter into the bottom of a greased 13x9x2 inch glass baking dish. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for eight minutes. In the microwave or top of a double boiler melt caramels with remaining 1/2 cup evaporated milk. When caramel mixture is well mixed, pour over baked layer. Cover with chocolate chips. Chill for about an hour or until the caramel is hard. Press the remaining batter on top of morsels. Return to oven and bake 28 minutes (or less for gooier brownies). Let cool before cutting.

Red velvet cake, it's a classic, google it.. You'll love it :) Anything romantic, no need to go into the whole gore blood stuff.. Ribs? To simulate vampires eating human flesh.. Red drinks, Red kool-aid, or punch with alcool if you have the right to.. As long as it's red :)

You could make an ice cream cake/sandwiches. Bake the cake in two layers - smooth softened ice cream over one layer, cover w the otheer layer - freeze and slice in desired shapes.

Or

You can use the baked chocolate cake in place of brownies here:

1. Crumble brownies over scoops of coffee-flavored ice cream. Top with a drizzle of Kahlua and one of chocolate sauce.

2. Crumble brownies into goblets, top with sliced, lightly sweetened strawberries, then a scoop of whipped cream.

3. Brush warm baked brownies with orange marmalade. Cut into cubes, spoon over vanilla ice cream and top with mandarin oranges and a drizzle of orange liqueur.

4. Layer fresh raspberries and sweetened whipped cream in a parfait dish or goblet. Top with crumbled brownies.

5. Fold 1 cup of crumbled brownies into your favorite cheesecake batter. Bake, slice and serve with a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
