This is what is commonly known as a "Heinz 57" or mutt. Unless you know for certain the breed of the parents there is no way to tell for sure. You can only guess by the pysical traits what some of the breeds that are in its heritage consist of. Once it is full grown you may be able to tell more, but it is probably a mix of 20 different breeds.
May have some GSD (German Shepherd Dog), but fur looks to be shorter than usual, hard to tell about the muzzle until full grown. Height & weight would be helpful info.
Here is an interesting resource for you. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm

It is a German Shepherd mix. The fur is too short to be a purebred GSD. I would say maybe a Doberman/ GSD cross or something like that. The fur is definitely more Doberman/Rottweiler/ Short-haired pointer type. A purebred GSD would have very fluffy fur, especially around the face, paws, and tail when it's a puppy.

It is NOT a shepherd, only a mixed breed so drop it already!!!!!! I know I have seen pictures of this same dog and the person was asking the same questions, only the user name was different, however the IM name was Richard, Mmmm. The head on this pup is too short to be pure shepherd. Give it up already.

here is a picture of a shepherd/rott mix: http://dogoftheday.com/archive/2002/November/19.html

It is a German Shepherd. I have had several and they looked like that. I would guess about 4-6 months old. Definitely full blood and gonna be a big dog.
Cute pup

I had a Rottweiler, he looked like this at about 4 months. He had all the same markings as the puppy in your pictures do. He didn't start getting the familiar Rott facial features until 12 months of age

AHHHH he is so cute. To me he looks like he could be mixed with a doberman or a rottweiler since he has the same tan markings in the same places as they do. Possibly one of the two I've mentioned mixed with a german shephard. He looks like a sweetheart. No matter what he is...he's a keeper!

German Shepard/ MIX

German shepherd/dobie mix is my guess. Sure not a full dobie. The hair is too long. Has the dobie body, but there is definitely some German shepherd there too.
