Muslims say they will never kill people of the book but?

Muslims say they are misunderstood and they have great respect for people of the book. in the Koran it says a Christian is the closest to you.

so why are Sunni and Shia who are both Muslims killing each other? how much more would they kill us. if even another Muslim deserves to die then how can we trust that they will not kill other religious people?

Are you sure of your facts? If so you have a very interesting point, but do you know the verse in the Koran which states, "a CHRISTIAN is the closest to you."
About your actual question, I think you will find that not all Sunnis and Shias are killing each other. I think that this is limited to Arab Muslims. Arabs who disagree, have been killing each other for centuries. It is in their blood and I doubt if anything in the Koran can stop it.

I am sorry to say that this is not a very smart question to ask!!! But I’ll try my best to answer it, its only fair…. You see in every religion there are rules that people are obligated to obey but tell me this do you listen to everything you’ve been told to do? haven’t ever broke the low somehow?! Well maybe you haven’t, however there are people who have and there are people who work to alter the specific teachings they have been given.

Yes, Christians are the closest to Muslims according to Islam and their blood is forbidden, just like as it is forbidden for a Christian to kill another Christian yet they still kill each other, and still the history continues to record wars between Christians.

Because they are ignorant enough to let them selves fall prey to "divide and rule" policies brought on by outsiders and internal power brokers. When Christians, Muslims, etc. are killed in clashes, this is not religious based but political...what is the bloody American army doing in Iraq and Afghanistan, and how much atrocities and injustices must the Palestinians suffer by Israelis. There is resistance to alien occupation and resistance results in people being killed.
