I do not own it but I work in the camera dept of a retail store and we carry it. It is a good camera for people that are really going to use the underwater feature. If you are mainly going to be taking regular pictures and just occasionally using it underwater, buy a different camera and get waterproof film cameras (one time use). The camera is okay...the downside to it is that it can only be underwater for 1 hour at a time. Also, it is covered in plastic, which includes the lens and the flash. Therefore, the flash is not as bright and the lens distorts the picture a bit because of the plastic rather than glass. The colors are not as true. Its up to you. If you are tough on cameras and are going to be using it a lot underwater go for it, if not, dont waste your money on it.

Of course not! One of the best waterproof digital from Olympus is Stylus 790SW. As a waterproof digital camera, Stylus 790SW performs as well under water (down to 10 feet below the surface) as it does on land.
