We went from Stanstead to Kuala Lumpa - 13 and 1/2 hour flight - which was the most brilliant thing that I have ever done. Three days later we travelled on to Brisbane - another 8 1/2 hours.
Distance? Forget it - the bit in between was the best! Go to KL and have an experience!

Japan. It took 28 hours to fly home. Sailed from England, Went to many countries and after 10 months I flew home from Japan. It was no big deal. I was in the merchant navy and going away was normal. I have sailed thousands of miles and flown thousands more.

I lived in Melbourne for 18 months, so that diesn't count I guess. I don't fly if I can help it, so i guess Croatia and back on the bike was a big deal. I don't stay in hotels either.

I don't know the mileage, but it was from the midwest US to the UK. I think I traveled for over 11 hours total each way.
