If I have a good self-esteem, then how will my girlfriend (or a date) be affected from that?
What and how will she be benefitted from it? Or what will it make her do?

What would you feel or do, if you are a woman?

woa, hold on. I did not mean give any impression like being "cocky".

I meant by the opposite of the low self-esteem.

The good self-esteem is respecting oneself, and being happy wiht oneself, etc.

thank you for your answers.

good self-esteem in a date makes me feel at ease. people who constantly put themselves down or talk badly of themselves seem needy and call upon sympathy. when a date feels good about himself, it is like a breath of fresh air. i find that I am more likely to have meaningful conversations with a date who is confident. don't get me wrong, i mean everyone has insecurities and 'good self-esteem' only goes so far, but dates are supposed to be fun and if my date doesn't see himself in a good light, then how am i supposed to? a guy with good self-esteem is, in my opinion, a sign of maturity (wisdom/strength/passion) and an overall zest for life.

If a person truly has good self esteem (which includes *not* needing to pretend they have good self esteem in order to trick a girl into doing something she wouldn't normally do), then his girlfriend will see him as a natural leader as well. If a person truly has good self esteem, they are admired by people in general. Thinking well of yourself will also draw people to you who think well of themselves.

a guy's version of "good self esteem" can be taken as ********* if the girl doesn't fully understand... play it down until you know she can handle it, and if she can't it's not meant to be.... I know i can handle it because i just CANT date someone with low self esteem and i know when its cocky and when its not but for the regular girl... it depends...

Self-esteem by itself is useless. It must have a frame of reference. You could be a geek and have self-esteem, but girls will pass you by like a leper. You could be a football jock and have low self-esteem, but be mobbed. So which one are you?

first I think you should define self esteem for us
because I am getting the impression you may full of yourself. and that may not have as good effect as good self esteem
