When I click on the icon the window flashes on the screen, but dissapears and will not open. How can I fix this?

Uninstall IE-7 and go back to IE-6 until microsoft works out all the bugs with the new probram, You can also download firefox,it is pretty good also.

could just be your firewall is not setup to allow the "new" browser to open, check your firewall log to see if it blocked it, also right click on the shortcut, if its the default shortcut you'll have options showing up like "open home page" if its a standard shortcut (right click the executable and select to send to desktop type) then right click and select properties and then the button for find target and see where its pointing to, it could be pointing at the wrong program.
If non of that works, you may need to reinstall it....check your add/remove programs list to see if IE7 is listed, if it is then select to uninstall it (it'll revert back to IE6) then reboot, then go to the update site and reinstall, when prompted reboot.

Has it ever opened? Did you just download it and it won't open? If it is new you may have a bad download.

Dump IE7!!! get firefox. www.firefox.com ... IE is junk.
