My upper right gum is swollen mostly in the back.
What could be wrong-should I get an electric toothbrush and try to brush it down?

Have you eaten potato chips recently??
My gums often get swollen/sore for a couple days when I do.
This is b/c a small bit of the chip breaks off and gets stuck in the gum.
Even if this isn't the cause, don't try to "brush it down". Excessive brushing will only cause more inflammation.
Give it about a week and if it still hurts, call your dentist.
Hope you feel better!

Yes making it bleed will help. Listerine 3 times a day would also. You are probly experiencing gingavitis or something also these lines... go see a dentist .
